We Enjoy Outdoor Group Games

There are several outdoor sports from which to pick. Hundreds! We’ve whittled the list down to our favorites, which are shown below. Which ones do you think are the best?

Kids’ Outdoor Group Games

Hide and Seek is a popular game.

One of the classic outdoors games for children, Hide and Seek is a popular game. is very straightforward and can keep kids amused for hours if there are enough hiding places!

One person covers their eyes and counts while the others hide. There are lots of different versions of Hide and Seek is a popular game. – it’s an obvious choice for large groups.

Says Simon

This is another popular children’s game. A person is picked to be Simon, who then gives instructions to the rest of the players, such as ‘Says Simon touch your toes’. Players are out when they do the action, but Simon didn’t say ‘Says Simon’ at the beginning. The last remaining player is the winner and then becomes Simon.

Chairs with Musical Instruments

Who hasn’t had fun with this as a kid? This is a wonderful alternative for big groups of youngsters and adds some musical fun to your party if you have lots of room.

The youngsters move or dance around two lines of chairs that are positioned back to back (there should be one less chair than the number of children). You must take a seat when the music stops. The individual who does not get a seat will be ejected. Each round, a new chair is taken away.

Race of Three Legs

If you have plenty of space and a lovely bouncy turf to fall down on, races are a terrific option. This one may include a large number of youngsters, and you can even have four-legged races with three children instead of two. There will be a lot of laughing and falling about, no matter how many you have!

Minnows and Sharks

The kids will like this game if you have a pool. The goal is for the shark to catch the minnows as they attempt to cross the pool to the other side. There are a variety of ways to play this game, and it’s a great option for groups of up to 12 people.

Obstacles to overcome

You can make your own Obstacles to overcome and time players to see who is the fastest getting round it. This is great fun for all ages. You can buy inflatable Obstacles to overcomes. It’s easy enough to make your own though – get inventive with cones, wooden planks, sandpits, trampolines and more!

If you have a big group, divide the kids into two teams and have a relay race to see who can complete the route first.

Treasure Seeking

Arranging a Treasure Seeking takes a bit organising beforehand, but it is so popular with children. They love working out a clue and running to find where the next one is hidden. You can make this work for large groups by putting players into teams to see which one finds the treasure first. The goodies don’t have to be anything phenomenal or expensive – the fun is in finding them!

Battle of the Sexes

Battle of the Sexes is an easy choice for large groups because you can have lots of people involved on each side of the rope. Mix up ages and abilities when you pick teams, to ensure it isn’t a walkover for one side!

In the Backyard Sports

These options are ideal if you don’t have a lot of space yet need to set up a net. In reality, you can play both of these games without a net and have a great time.

Badminton

Badminton is a simple activity to set up in the backyard with a net, rackets, and shuttlecocks. Because the game is confined in a tiny region, you won’t require a lot of room. Plus, there’s no risk of a shuttlecock hitting any surrounding windows!

Volleyball

Volleyball is a great sport to play during a party. All you need is a ball and a net. You may also play without the net and hit the ball to each other. Each side normally has six players, but if you have a big party, you may add more.

Games for Fun

These games are a little less severe (maybe!) than the ones we recommended before. They are suitable for people of all ages.

Croquet

Croquet is a relaxing grass pastime that is ideal on a warm day. It’s simple to prepare ahead of time. Croquet mallets, hoops, and balls are used, with the goal of hitting the balls through the hoops with your mallet.

Cornhole

Cornhole can keep your guests entertained for hours during a party. It’s straightforward, as are most successful games. To get points, you hurl beanbags onto a board. The board has a hole at the end; putting the bag through the hole earns you additional points.

Setting a time restriction and forming teams to get the most beanbags onto the platform in the allocated time may be adapted for big crowds.

Horseshoes

This game is similar to cornhole, except that instead of corn, you toss horseshoes towards a target. It’s another another traditional outdoor game that can easily be scaled up to accommodate huge crowds. Divide individuals into teams and see who can score the most points.

Games with Extra Dimensions

Try huge versions of popular indoor games for something a little different. Who doesn’t want to play a game of enormous Jenga? For the garden, you can even acquire gigantic Yahtzee, chess, and dominoes. If you have a big party, consider having all four games available so that teams of individuals may switch between them.
